Motion Design
I followed an intensive Motion Graphics course at the Pratt Institute in NYC.
Yes. Just like Pam from The Office.
Here is a selection of coursework assignments and personal projects.
Living Dead Weekends
Zombie Festival Trailer
The brief here was to create a promotional video inspired by retro aesthetic.
I developed the idea of a zombie-inspired music festival showcasing bands that had split up, and would be ‘back from the dead’ for one weekend only. It references 50s horror B-movies – a scary trip into the woods!
The late ‘00s – golden age of pop-rock – may or may not be reflected in band choices.
Skills
As a baseline, I decided to use highly contrasted black and white imagery, and add zombie green accents.
This project allowed me to experiment with several After Effects techniques.
- Retouching and retiming footage (color correction, contrast, speed)
- Integrating green screen elements through compositing and keying
- Rotoscoping and frame by frame tracking blends 2D and 3D objects seamlessly
- Masks hide and reveal elements
- Animating 3D text in 3D space
- Revealing vector shapes with trim paths
SSRC
At the Social Science Research Council, I had the opportunity to create video content for the digital space, a first for the organization.
I adapted brand guidelines to new media for the first time and created templates for all sorts of format : promotional videos, interviews, data visualization gifs, video articles…
I wrote copy and storyboarded the treatment of information, always focusing on showcasing knowledge in an appealing way.

Banana Facts
Did you know that the BED (Banana Equivalent dose) is listed as an acceptable measure of radioactivity?
After stumbling upon a list of weird banana facts, I decided to make up my own.
I wanted to practice my handdrawn animation skills with short, funny social media material.
Gifs
These excerpts were originally taken from an exercise timing graphics to music. Selena Gomez’s ‘Bad Liar’ was stuck in my head that day, so I rolled with that.
Le Douanier Rousseau
Naïve art turned 3D
This assignment involved adapting a 2D piece of artwork into a 3D composition.
I chose to work on a naïve art painting, a style known for its lack of perspective (no blurring of details in the background, shading or scaling).
I separated all elements in Paysage exotique avec Lion et lionne en Afrique by Le Douanier Rousseau, a lush jungle scene, and turned it into a gif.
This involved separating objects into layers, recreating the layout, using the puppet pin tool to animate individual elements such as leaves in the wind, and using lighting and camera moves.
